Yes it does! And it’s only going to get better from here! Welcome Misty! That’s awesome! I totally agree with you. I too have a sponsor and go to meetings. My home group is tonight. I also have a commitment at this meeting. I’m working the steps. I’m on Step 6.
6&7 are pretty simple however my work has limited me on completing them with my Sponsor until next week. Then it’s on. I’m ready for step 8!

That’s awesome! The steps are where it’s at. For me steps 1-3 where easy. Also did feel those steps have removed the urges to drink or use from my body and mind. Step 4 took me a long time to do as I wasn’t in the right headspace. I found a website that has a worksheets you can print out. Made it a lot easier for me to write. Step12.com I believe is the website. Keep your 4th step simple.
Then step 5, this step when complete, I was able to shed 50lbs! I no longer have to play the resentment tape in my head each morning. That’s a huge relief for me!
It’s a spiritual journey. Each of us will have our own unique experience.
