Great job! I kept convincing myself I'd be a casual drinker by the time I hit 40. Then I realized I was no where close to that goal. The only way I would spend my 40s and on sober was to quit. I have 74 days. One day at a time. I havent given myself a chance to give myself the promise I made. I have just over a year to make the 40 year old mark to be proud of. I'm determined to not be a lousy drunken 40 year old who never got my life together at least by 40 especially when I thought for sure I'd figure it out by 30!

All we can do is get through today. A successful day is one that ends with your head hitting the pillow sober. Yesterday is in the books. Tomorrow is undetermined. But today you are sober. Just like me.
The first few days are the hardest. And today is the only one that matters.
