AA Meetings

It can be nerve wracking going to your first meeting. But it gets so much easier very quickly!! I’ve met some of my very best friends in there. It’s the one place I can go where everyone “gets” me. You got this Rachel!!

AA gives me anxiety as well it’s OK though it’s not for everybody I’ve tried it but I’m kind of one of those people that I need someone on my level that will give it to me raw and uncut because I didn’t pacify my addiction so I’m not gonna pacified my recovery

Hey Pam, thank you for the kind words and suggestion! I'm not new to AA or NA. I've been in and out of recovery for years now. It's not that I'm uncomfortable at meetings, it's that I just need to take the action, putting one foot in front of the other and actually go. I really won't get any better if I don't go and meet people, I know that.

Me too

No reason to feel anxiety. It's a great way of life and the people there will welcome you with open arms because they are there for the same reason you are.

Here's a really great app that will work with either platform.

Trying to do life in recovery without the aides or vices for me I’ve hung on too is all about facing the pain

You shouldn’t be afraid.

I don’t even consider myself an alcoholic; I’m just sober-curious. And I still go to meetings for accountability and inspiration.
