Congratulations. Yeah the struggle is definitely real but if you’re sober it gives you a better chance to get through it. It will always be hard but it gets easier. But again, it will never be easy lol. I got 2 years and a lifetime to go, I haven’t begun to learn about staying sober. I just follow my group and use my network when I need to.

Google your county’s AA list. It’ll direct you to every meeting, day and time.

Good morning Graig thank you so much for sharing brother. I’m glad you were here.

Happy to have you here, Graig. This is exactly how I've made connections.
I'm dealing with more than any parent should ever deal with, but I'm here and I'm clean and that's how it is on life's terms, bcz what else can you do? Keep trying to change things that are unchangeable, or learn to live in spite of the challenges? Uhmm, yup.
Hugs to you. Welcome!

I’m sorry for your situation and I appreciate your selfless post. True strength and guidance. One of my first friends (we had the same sponsor at the time) when I first got sober told me before I worked step 4, one of my glaring defects was control. He’s never seen anything like it lol. I didn’t know what he was talking about. 2 years in, I’m like wow, I really have to work at this every day. I’m not always successful and I definitely can’t change the past.
