Just read your story, and I was wondering if your job has an impact on your sobriety? I only ask because I am really considering becoming an LCDC (Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor) but my concern is how much it would pain me for those who relapsed while under my care. I'm sure it could cause some counselors to relapse themselves.

I don’t work in recovery. I work with people who have developmental disabilities. I think it would take a very strong person to become an LCDC. But they do amazing work for sure!
