Hello Joe how is everything going?

Hey William. Things are going well. Made it through another Friday night sober which is always the toughest night for me, and looking forward to spending time with family this weekend. How are you doing?

@william299198 .. How did you do it. Do you mind sharing your experience strength and hope with us?

I'm doing good and thanking God for another day sober. That's very good that you able to stay sober and visit your family. Keep up the good work and it certainly will get better. There are no limits to how much better things could get for you. That's why it's so important that our sobriety is maintained.

Hello there Michael nice to hear from you. Well, let me begin sharing my experience, strength and hope. I was doing very good when I attended Cayuga Community College. Everything was good and also being the cross country track team. The college gives out checks every so often. One day I got a check for about 900.00 dollars from the college. I then started hanging with the peopleThey were crack users. I went to this trailer and everyone in there was smoking crack. I tried some of it and I got hooked immediately. I spent my entire college check there at this trailer. The consequences were devastating as I continued use. I was encouraged to go to a rehabilitation program. This program was a 28 day program. I had completed the program at Clifton Springs rehab but got out and stayed sober for nine months and relapse. So I had to go back a second time . Once I finish the program there, I went to a halfway house which was one year. So I was done with both of these programs. I returned home I immediately started attending meetings faithfully. The key was hanging with people everyday that were sober which were old timers. They had alot sobriety. Alot of them have passed away. Staying involved is most important for your sobriety you to can have it. I hope this can be helpful and stay involved because time takes time.
