Going to my second AA meeting today. I don’t have

There are many Agnostic AA's out here, thriving without god. Your experience is your experience, and I'm not looking to discount it. But to me, it almost boarders on telling someone they need to have god to get sober. People are dying out here. A religious conversion is not necessary at all to get/stay sober. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. It's easy to get wrapped up in the feelings part of the religious aspect, especially when everyone around you is doing it. People wanna be part of something. We want that white light experience, we wanna belong. And we tell each other that "doing it our way" is not right. That we don't have the aptitude to do anything for ourselves without "god". Untrue.

Don’t worry about the God “thing”, just find a group with people that you like and get what you want out of it.
