Hi everyone. Just joined. I have 33 years of sobriety

Hope you enjoy your day

Catherine, welcome to Loosid! Well done on 33 years! I was a meth user and drinker and an over thinker! 606 days today and I can totally agree with you about how our lives can be without all that negative energy we had while using! I may have a glimpse of time but it’s been the best time I could ever have given myself! I’m going to thank God for always being with me ā€œno matter whatā€!
That’s love right there!

Congratulations on life on the other side of meth. That’s no joke.

Thank you  you’re right! I’ve seen a few lives ruined from meth. And with that said it’s still amazes me how I was able to look past the destruction at the time of using and continue to use. Addiction is cunning, baffling and powerful.

Catherine... that is an amazing way of looking at things. Thank you for sharing that and that is awesome you have 33 years.

Was the key to staying sober finding something you liked doing better than the drugs? Did you go the 12 step route? What pearls of wisdom can you share with us all.

It sounds that getting connected with others was an important part that helped you stay sober

Thanks for sharing. I’m on day 3, I think? I feel like crap. I broke sobriety 2 yrs ago after 30yrs free from meth. I can’t keep kicking myself. I feel horrible. Thanks again for sharing

I find that finding that connection with others is the most difficult part of the recovery process. However, that might be just me because I’m an introvert. Any suggestions on how to overcome the barriers of getting and staying connected?

Good for you on the 33 years. You’ve come a long way & have done a fantastic job. Keep your message out there, so others can see it works

Love back to you! Thanks for posting. 33 years. Nice :ok_hand:

Love this! Do you do 12 steps? I’m in a crystal meth anonymous meeting for artists that meets on zoom on Mondays. Let me know if your interested.

Hi Catherine I think that’s so awesome all the years you have in sobriety especially from the crystal math I remember the first time I was in reduced to that stuff thank God I wasn’t on it for long but my person tried to tell me it was the Savior from smoking crack wow what a joke it was just one drug to another and supporting his head along with mine and just using me I feel like I’ve been used most of my life payment and especially since my head injury from 2018 not retarded or slow I just have a short term memory loss and is the right side slight head injury which causes it and I’ve gotten a lot better since 2008 your sharing and helped me a lot encourages me also I only have a week maybe we can have a Sobriety but my God am I so determined and so sick of being tired and I surrender so thank you Catherine for sharing you definitely encouraged and helped me tremendously thank you Angela sļæ¼
