I'm so proud that you expressed your situation, that's something I've only done in meetings. I remind myself everyday that my friends want me to be a hero. I tell myself "THEN BE A HERO!" you will beat this. We will beat this.
Ditto to all that! Especially the employers and doctors don’t always understand so I have to be real blunt “don’t prescribe me those pain meds” doctor at my rehab prescribed the naltrexone and vivitrol. And agree that people were more aware of my struggle, of my drinking, than I thought.
Keep moving forward because it sounds like you’re heading down the right path with good intentions. If sobriety were easy a whole heck of a lot more people would walk away from their addiction. Sadly it’s not all that easy and you definitely need to put in the work to earn your life back and release it from the grips of addiction. I believe in you as I do all my brothers and sisters here.
Has your sponsor gave any suggestions or maybe have you reached out to old timers to get some insight? Out patient could really be a big help as well
I feel for you and relate. I'm currently trying to quit and finding it difficult. I'm reading annie Grace's book, this naked mind, and it's helping me change the way I see alcohol. William porter and Allen Carr are good options too. I plan to go back to meetings, that seemed to help too. Maybe I'll try in person meetings, I think it would help. Good luck to you
I'm available to chat, if you'd like.

Thank you, Stanley. Alcoholics are liars…. I’m trying to stop the lying. Both to myself and others.
If you have insurance look into it.
I have insurance and called the Rehab center on Tuesday. They had to call my insurance to verify everything. I’m shocked at how long the process is.
