I find it pretty unsettling when ever any post about

We strive to keep our community open and welcoming to every walk of life and religion. We also warn people who become abusive in their posts that they will be removed. That said, they are just as welcome to disagree with others as anyone else.

And you don't have to read someone's post. A post isn't pushing a belief on someone. If an atheist makes a post, it's not them pushing their ideologies on me. You missed the point of the post entirely. Have a good weekend.

I never said they weren't. I clearly stated that their manner in commenting is crude.

It is an issue we are working on

Just pray for them. That's what Jesus would do I think. Love God Love people. It's not just Love other Christians. Jmo. Christ is my redeemer and strength

Get used to it. Someone could talk about their HP being a rock and people will applaud. Talk about my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I get nasty comments and dirty looks. This is just one reason why so many people have walked away from recovery programs. It’s sad

For the record, I spread lots of encouragement here. You have ever once commented on anything positive that I have said here. I don't spread any "hate". Stop using buzz words to rile people up. I only push back on posts that are only god related and not sobriety related. This is not a preacher's pulpit, the same as it is not a political arena. Politics on here is largely avoided but the religious stuff is not. The only other thing I do is remind people of the hard work that THEY put in, and not to rely on "prayer" alone. Solid advice, I think. Not admitting the hard work that you put in to get and keep something that you value is self depricating, do we need more self deprication? Can we not accept credit for something we worked hard to achieve? The post that I commented on that you are whining about was religious preaching, plain and simple, and had zero to do with sobriety. It was absurd. You just don't feel that way because it's your flavor of Kool Aid. People who disagree with you don't have to remain silent. Was my comment a little snide? Perhaps. But it was no more absurd than the post it was in it this post that you started to complain about someone who disagrees with you. You're telling me to ignore things I don't like, but here we are, because you can't ignore me. Nobody ever walked out of an AA meeting because they were afraid that ther might be an atheist there. Plenty of people have never even stepped foot into a meeting because they KNEW it was steeped in religion. Are you trying to help people get/stay sober or are you trying to get church numbers up? I don't think your Jesus would disagree with me.

I don't wanna argue with you or anyone else. Have a great weekend.

Just my take on it, AA is all inclusive, whatever your higher power is is the thing that helps you get to the point where you can surrender your broken addicted self and learn through the steps and fellowship how to become sober. With hard work, learning to become a different person,
living a new and better way. We all want the same thing and that is to restore our sanity, our dignity and our lives. No arguing is necessary on these points. We each find our own path with the tools we are given and hopefully this is why we are here.
Have a great holiday weekend and everybody stay strong!!

I’m not sure how Jesus is offensive, or why you’re going to seek support and get picky with it. You are completely powerless so open your ears and shut your mouth.

I'm lost, for real now. I don't see where she said it was flagged. Does that mean she flagged it?

Speaking about your god in a public forum isn’t pushing it on anyone. I’m agnostic but in this type of community it’s important to allow everyone to express themselves in any way that helps them to keep following the path of recovery. Even if they worship a stuffed koala. Spread love and kindness to all types!

I think you missed the point. Your clouded by your own anger. No, I'm trying to church numbers up. I 2qs simply stating my disgust. Just like you have a right to do. I never said you can't or shouldn't be allowed to. I simply said that it was unsettling. Stop dividing people because you don't like something. I'm not telling you to Ignore things you don't like. I'm saying you have the ability to. And how does reacting that way progress your sobriety. Have a good day, oi!

Frank I get it. You should see the emails and post I get at work.

I'm sorry I didn't see what Ginny said. Just saw her comment that the post was flagged and hidden.

Bless everyone✨

I was just stating that some people are rude for the sake of being rude. I never said that they can't. I'm not one or would I ever take someone's right to speech away in a public forum.

We will always be attached for our beliefs. I gain peace knowing the The Bible tells us this. I’ve been sober for a long time and take zero credit for what Jesus has done for me. The peace and gratitude I’ve gained from my faith is unmeasurable.
