Make sure you're not doing this on your own. Please try to get involved with a recovery program and stay close to some people that have been recovered for many years. Get some phone numbers. Congratulations on your first week.
Just remember that drugs and alcohol are cunning baffling and powerfu. Without help it is too much for us. There is one who has all the power and that one is God. May you find him now!

It's not the drugs or alcohol, it's us on the inside. I thought I could drink after I was sober for 3.5 years and i never had a problem drinking per se like yourself but it wasn't long before I was overdosed on fentanyl. Not everyone is the same but this is just my experience and I'd hate to see anyone else learn the hard way like I did.
