I know everyone is probably sick of hearing about Covid

I totally agree. I think many doctors make a habit of running blood work and then saying your fine when the blood work checks out. It makes the patient frustrated because now we have no idea what’s wrong! That was the point of going to them! doctors give up way too fast on trying to figure out the problem. Definitely keep trying to get to the bottom of it. something is obviously going on if you can’t move your fingers every morning you wake up! I hope it’s minor though Lacey

Joe thank you!! I don’t feel like I’m going crazy anymore lol. But for real, you’re so right! Doctors are so quick to say you’re fine cuz the bloodwork said so. Like, I’m telling you something is wrong and you don’t care anymore because of the bloodwork. Bloodwork doesn’t always show with 100% accuracy if somethings wrong. I’m gonna find a new doctor. She was rude to me when I saw her too. Said these issues are probably because I’m an alcoholic….

The minute she dropped that comment is the minute I would’ve found another doctor. That’s highly unprofessional she said that to you. Drinking can definitely cause nerve issues, but it sounds like she was saying it to be a b****. Find a doctor that has a little empathy and cares about getting to the bottom of your symptoms. I’d rather be a hypochondriac and catch an illness early, than just push symptoms to side and catch something too late.

I agree with u both= 100%!! Unfortunately, i have gone thru Covid-19... not once, but TWICE!!! And... I've had 3 frickin vaccinations!! The 1st time: I dealt with no taste, no smell, along with "foggyiness" in my thinking abilities. OhmyGosh... i Couldn't remember jack squat--be it someone's name, recalling a number, a memory. Jack diddly! There were NO words 2EXPLAIN how "frustrating" it was 4 me. 48 @ the time... i couldn't blame it on ild age... LoL ~ haha, although, i tried!! The 2nd time though--4me anyways -- was more about physical exhaustion... However, my 27 yr old daughter went thru it twice with me also. Sadly, she suffered more of the sinus /fever. Yet, she's not the uh, "labeled addict"-- shall we say. So her brain fog was "VALID" -- BC she didn't HAVE an alcohol or drug problem (like her Mom did). Interesting bias-- huh??
I am genuinely sorry u experienced ANY type of disrespect 4ur disease-- by a "supposed" medical professional!! SO unacceptable! [And in SO many ways]!!
Please... b PROUD of urself... recognizing that alcoholism or drug addiction or heck-- even dimentia-- are DIFFERENT diseases with different side effects or outcomes. JUST bc u have "one" does NOT mean it's an excuse for the other!! More importantly~ GOOD 4u!! Feel strong & empowered 2 seek out another doc /physician who EVER makes u feel devalued for ur authentic self!! Find the healthcare individual that works for you; allows u 2FEEL comfortable, & safe. NEVER someone who makes u feel judges OR misjudged. I too, have dealt with some SERIOUS bs in the Healthcare system. Idk about u-- but I've dealt with ENOUGH self-blame -- thay i don't NEED someone in a white Lab coat w/a stethoscope 2try & tell me otherwise. Rock on GF!

Glad you are at the very least getting better!

My brain fog has been so bad I forget everything but I stood up monday & felt very strange. Sleeping a lot still!

Sounds so similar to my experience with it 2 months ago. Still some brain fog and I sleep more than I ever used to.

So sorry to hear that! Makes me  I’m afraid I’m going to be a long hauler with that too. Stuff still smells very stale or burnt
