Welcome Natalie!
Natalie, I am diagnosed with both anxiety and bipolar disorders. The depression part of my bipolar disorder being the hardest one to treat. Can’t find a medication that works. Anyway, I find that walking outside helps. This sounds silly but I love doing crossword puzzles and that helps. Yoga is a lifesaver and there are lots of free yoga teachers on YouTube. I see a therapist to talk about my feelings of sadness and anger. They kind of go hand in hand for me. I also found working the steps really helped with a lot of that as well.
I use 2 words when I start to overthink life issues.. “Who Cares”
I have anxiety and major depression also. I'm on a couple meds for it. When it gets bad I've been trying guided meditation and breathing exercises
Journaling is good in that telling yourself about how you feel and actually putting it down in written form offers a passage to some relief….I also played a lot of music…depression is a lonely feeling that cannot be translated to anyone not experiencing what you are you do but not fearing it and acknowledging what it is and no more can help….been there…I offer a prayer for you!
Welcome!!! If you need anything please reach out!!!!
Exercise for the anxiety. It sounds opposite but it's not. And when you start getting gloomy, force yourself out into the sunlight and go for a slow walk. Or walk to store instead of with your car
Great
