Get to a meeting. Go for a walk or run. DON’T drink.
Yes I agree with Janice., a drink or drug will not make anything better, if anything,,,, it WILL probably make things worse… talk to someone
Great to hear.
Start looking for a new job just in case. In gmail and other email platforms you can often create a scheduled send. I like to schedule job emails, resume and cover letters Etc to go out about 6:45am for the timezone relevant to whom I am sending the email to. This way my message is at the very top of their inbox assuming they start work at 7:00 a.m.
I like to use indeed and linkedin. As a matter of fact I have not used anything more in the last 15 years. Many a times on indeed I have applied to 50 or more jobs in one day. Numerous times 100 plus.
Yes, go to meetings online if necessary. I am also a firm believer in prayer. Additionally I would add, admit your mistake and apologize. Figure out why you made that mistake and how to prevent repeating that mistake going forward. Then and only then go to your employer, admit, apologize and most importantly explain to them how and why you made your mistake and now you plan on correcting this as to never make that mistake again.
Lastly, go to your local governmental job agency. Here in Texas it is the Texas Workforce commission. Sign up and typically there is some sort of counselor/advocate there that you will first meet with. Explain to them your situation and ask for housing resources. If that does not work somehow find out your local housing resources in case you are displaced. There is a much lesser chance of relapse if you are prepared for the coming storm.
I do hope that I was able to help in some way and will have you in my prayers!
I do too. I lost my job of over 6 figures 2 months ago, and have been struggling. I’m frozen it seems and my hope is depleted right now. I did it I drank and messed up, but I’m going through the exact same thing. In all that I’m moving from Indiana back to Michigan because I’m closer to family and if I need anything I can have that Supprt. I get it though the mental part is so hard. But that little voice in your mind that can barley be heard right now just keep pushing. Just listen to it
At least know you got me in your corner I need hope so be my hope because right now mine is almost gone. So don’t drink it won’t do anything for you. I promise that I promise it will make your life and job and apartment gone. Push for me at least
