The great outdoors and a dog goes a long way! I encourage you to find a women’s AA group & work the steps. It’s work, but rewarding work. You might find yourself looking forward to meetings. The groups can bring a lot to our lives socially and w/out complications. Sisterhood in AA is a great thing.

Friendship is definitely needed n wanted I’m here if ur here for me
For me, that's been the best part of the sober experience. At first, it was only people in the AA rooms, then online over Covid, and now I'm meeting sober people and devolving connections over shared interests out in the wild. Although I still religiously attend a woman's meeting and love everyone in it, I finally feel like a real person comfortable in my own skin. That's largely attributed to the healthy relationships I participate in and the unhealthy relationships I finally let go of.

I'm in Missouri moved to a small town for welding school not knowing anyone. Went to the only NA meeting in town and now I have this amazing family a sponser, sponsee family, and the most amazing puppy, I love my life today, and none of this would be possible without my recovery being first

I'm always willing to chat.
You can chat with me. I am basically alone with a husband who never has a single word to say to me. He drinks straight whiskey every day and watches tv 22 hours a day. He tells me to stay sober but gives me no support. I am in counseling once a week but am a chronic slipper. My husband is not a nice man but I have my own reasons for staying.
