I can relate to this feeling been there too. Animals and in my opinion dogs are better than humans in most instances. But I promise he would never want you to drink over him. Seems like your empty home needs the pitter patter of a new dog. Maybe go to the shelter and see if you can be a foster mom to a dog at need.
I will be praying for you so sorry, animals are really more support than humans sometimes
Then go have one
So sorry. This is hard. Take care.
Wanted to update all of you that got me through loosing Bodie.
He was everything to us and it hurt so much. I miss him every day.
We decided to rescue another dog from the Salt Lake animal shelter a month after Bodie passed away. Her name is Daisy. She is a red fox lab. She is now 9 months old. I wish I could show you how beautiful she is but can’t seem to add a picture to this post. She has softened my heart, once again.
The best part is I didn’t drink or use as much as I wanted to. Bodie would have been upset and it would not be fair to the new puppy.
We are going on our first trip to Idaho in the motor home with her and can’t wait.
Thanks again to everyone here.
I'm so happy to hear that you got another pup and that you are starting to heal. I'm sorry for the loss of your best friend. Most of all, I'm happy for you that you're not drinking over it! Reach out anytime and have a great trip to Idaho.
I don’t think you belong here buddy nice advice
How wonderful!
Bodie would be pleased that a new pup is helping you heal.
So happy you didn’t pick up! Y life happens on life’s terms.
Sobriety is fabulous!!!
