Loosing steam

Go to a meeting. Call someone in the program. You never have to be alone. I know what you mean about drinking being your identity. In my house growing up, booze was a sacrament. My life centered around alcohol until I found AA. Don’t be afraid to ask for help; it’s what keeps many of us sober.

Do it for yourself, Ash! You got this! And people are allowed to grow and change. We’re not supposed to be the same person forever. Just because breweries and alcohol were a part of your life before, doesn’t mean you can’t build a new, happier life for yourself. Also no one necessarily needs to know your struggle with alcohol. You can simply say you’re not into it anymore. Not everyone needs to know your business. This is your journey and your journey alone.

Accountability is the number one thing that keeps me sober. I tried and failed so many times keeping it to myself.

You can still go to breweries and anywhere you wanna go your identity isn’t what you drink it’s who you are and you should feel supported in trying to be a healthier happier person ! Show them all who’s boss and that you are still the same person without what you drink ! Keep going ten days is huge !

Proud of you! You are amazing and inspiring. Keep up the work and keep your head held high.

Keep at it Ash!
