I also know men and women who have fallen in combat. That does not mean that the "cause" they fought for was actually the cause. You know this. Calling someone's opinion "uneducated" is about as uneducated as you can get. Most(not all) opinions are formed from experience. You don't know my life or my experience.

It is uneducated. The soapbox your on isn't very strong. If they believed it was the cause then I salute them whole heartedly. Your standing on the outside of a room with no knowledge of what goes on inside it. What's said, done or felt or believed in. The mere fact that you had to use this post as means to spout ignorance and division speaks volumes of your true intentions.

I’ll be teaching my clients how to have sober fun at the recovery center. When there is a holiday we try to show them it is possible to have sober fun, so they don’t go into the world as unsure!

People have opinions, some based on experience, some based on experience tinged with programming. Both of us are looking at the same mountain from different vantage points, but the main difference is, one of us is trying to dominate/demasculinize the other, and the other simply doesn't give a sht about Captain America, or being an "alpha male". I simply wanted people to consider bringing our troops back home, since they care enough to eat red white and blue cereal to show how patriotic they are.
You point wasn't to "bring the troops" home it was to downsize a time when our nation mounrs as whole and celebrates their lives. Those that have sacrificed. Ots clear your whole point was to downsize. Your right different vantage points. So maybe try and see it from the ones who have been to the top of the mountain instead of thinking your view from the bottom is the only one. If you really cared about the troops you wouldn't have een so agreasive in your post. You would have focused on what the day was about and not trying to cause division. Looks like you didn't succeed. As far as alpha male that has nothing to do with it. And as far as "American Jesus" goes I suggest you do your best not to blasphemy the name of God's son. It's apparent you are in happy and wish to cast that unhappiness onto others.
I’m not sure what we will do, I’m hoping maybe we grill out and play some outdoor games. For Super Bowl we made food together, made signs and watched the game- we try to make things like a normal gathering minus substances!
