Thank you Merry. You’re an inspiration. I recently got an AA sponsor, who he got his multiple day blue chip when I got my 30 day and handed me his blue chip after and said give back to me when you get you get your first chip. I’d been holding off getting a sponsor until I knew that it was right. I immediately knew he was the one and asked him if he would see me through, and he said absolutely. What a relief. It’s tough here at the holidays when some of my closest friends have turned on me. I had to breakup with my girlfriend/closet alcoholic would not stop drinking and then blamed me to her church friends publicly for her drinking, which is not true, and my younger sister pitched a fit about me coming to the family Christmas party, to which I decided not to go. However, I am rapidly finding which friends and family are truly supportive of my efforts at maintaining sobriety and am gravitating towards them.
