The fact that you are here is a great start! I started attending IOP while still using, and it gave me the boost I needed to quit. I've had 2 "slips" (using for a day) since March. I didn't beat myself up over it, and that helped me to stay in recovery. I'm not giving excuses, I've just learned through my recovery program that many addicts trip and fall several times before "getting it right" so to speak. If you are able to attend some sort of out patient program, it REALLY does make all the difference. I'm so happy you are here, and I'm here to tell you, if I can do it, YOU can too!!!

It's nice to see a lot of strength and hope on here. April 8th, 20, 20. Alcohol and opioids has been my problem for a very long time since I was 14 years old and I'm 51. That's a lot of time to be fooling around with stupid stuff. But I'm here by the grace of God
