AA meetings have Already made great improvements in my life and I’m only 50 days sober. Still have a long fight ahead of me to get my kids back home but knowing they’re proud of me is an amazing feeling

Welcome!!! After getting sober I look at my beautiful daughter every time I have a desire and imagine what her life would be like growing up without her dad. My therapist has me doing an exercise of instead of just brushing of desires to use and minimizing them to make a list of what could happen and what I could lose if I do. It retraining your brain to create new neuro pathways and honestly it has been easier and easier to do the more I do it. It's like wearing a new grove into something over time. My daughter's my world. I completely understand. It sounds cliche, but keep hitting the rooms and establish some sober time. Surround yourself with positive sober acquaintances. Best wishes!

My child was a motivating factor in getting and staying sober. You can’t beat yourself up over the past but you can be a lot better. Best wishes.
