I got a few chips and a NA tag :label:

Nice, I got my 5 year chip last week. Not bragging. Do you have a decent support system when you leave rehab?

Yeah being as Iā€™m not new to this.

Gotcha. Well I'm glad your feeling better. If you get triggered or cravings don't hesitate to post an SOS we'll be there for you!

If you get cravings, whether it be from alcohol or drugs you have to stop and play the scene forward. What happens if you use? You may feel good for a short period of time but sooner or later you're going to be right back where you are right now and you'll be carrying around more guilt. Now you have to start all over again.

It's called believing the LIE; that this time, everything will be okay. But it never is, is it?

In rehab or in Alcoholics Anonymous or whatever your program is we we learn about tools that we can take with us throughout our lives. One of the best tools in the world is our cell phones. Why is it that these phones weigh a thousand pounds when it comes to calling somebody for support when we're ready to use again?

Get phone numbers of people that you can rely on to be there when you need them and call somebody everyday. Especially if you're thinking about using. Whatever you're feeling at the time, it always passes. Always!

The good news is that the cravings get further and further apart and life really does get better if you don't use. One day at a time. We didn't get this way overnight so we're not going to get better overnight.

I've heard it said that it's 10 mi into the woods and 10 Mi back out.
