Why did you quit? There’s a reason. We all have a reason. I sure do and I’m afraid to return to that. Just go out and interact, smile and make others smile and listen to a good music. I was my own worst enemy and I isolated myself and being alone made me worse.

Go to a meeting. It works for me.

In 2011 I had almost 9 years. I relapsed. It cost me 3 years of total Oblivion and gave me nothing else. Today I'm coming up on 9 years all over again. Do yourself a great big favor and don't believe the big lie that alcohol feeds us;
That this time, everything will be okay. But it never is!

We have to learn to play the scene forward. What happens if you pick up a drink? Sure, you might feel good for a little while but sooner or later you will be right back where you started realizing that you accomplished absolutely nothing. Now you'll have more shame and disappointment to carry around with you.

Are you building a support group? Do you have phone numbers of people who have been sober for a long time? I suggest that you start using them. They work really great when you can just talk with somebody. And then you find out after a while that the Cravings do pass.

One day at a time!

If you want true freedom in recovery you need to get a sponsor and start taking the 12 Steps of AA.

Then the 12 promises will start to come true in your life.
