June 2021. My wife told me she couldn’t sit there and watch me drink myself to death. I was on the my 10th day drunk about 3 weeks after I left detox the first time. A year of sobriety later, she left anyway. The months leading up to the day she left is when I really committed to changing my life. A fog began to lift and I saw a side of myself I hadn’t seen in 2 decades.

When my life and truly become unmanageable and I was barely alive and hanging by a thread.
Surrender, I had legally overdosed on a bottle of vodka. Knocked my uncles 2 teeth out, which grandma finds funny. My aunt came and took me to inpatient rehab.
