0 days sober…looking for possibly going to an AA meeting

0 days sober…looking for possibly going to an AA meeting but have never been.. struggled with addiction to benzos, uppers and anything between I’ve probably tried…trying to find out where to start addressing these problems :confused: living in Orange County area. Any tips or comments help I live Rancho mission Viejo and always have Friday Saturday off

It can be very nerve racking approaching heading towards a first meeting. I remember almost going to a few, then chickening out and not opening the door after parking and approaching the church. But once I finally did, it’s indescribable how accepting fellow drunks and druggies are. Remember the first word, of the first step in 12 step programs, is “We”. You don’t have to be alone in recovery, happy to hear you are asking questions. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hi Brad, there’s a rad AA meeting with a TON of sobriety in Irvine every morning at 6:30 at the following address. It’s called sunrise sobriety. Saturday’s are seriously the best there.
