✨1/28/23 gratitude list✨

•I was able to go to bed really early last night and rest my back.

•Barkley slept with me the entire night (13 hours) and didn’t fuss or squirm.

•Friends who checked on me when I didn’t show up to last nights meeting.

•When sponsees check in and let me know how they’re doing. Watching another man recover is the [second] greatest gift this program has given me.

•Healthy food. I’ve learned that eating good is part of feeling good. When I eat bad, I feel bad.

•Sticking to my evening routine, even when I don’t feel good. It’s been over 9 months since I’ve missed a nightly inventory.

•Grace. I’m constantly given grace from God and from others. I also need to be willing to accept grace from myself.

•The generosity of those in the program. Specifically, whoever is going to cover my commitment at GIT tonight so I can attend the birthday meeting at NSFC.

•I realize that to keep my own forgiveness, I must give it away. Forgiveness is to recovery what oxygen is to the air we breathe.

•Gratitude. Gratitude has slowly changed my entire outlook on life. If I wake up in a funk, gratitude will fix that. Today I am grateful for every hardship as I know it’s an opportunity for growth in disguise.

God, thank you for my life.
