“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” - Henry David Thoreau
•Warm blankets and a good book.
•Waking up with gratitude as my default setting.
•My belief that the program would not work for me did not prevent it from actually working.
•Ideas, emotions, and attitudes which were once the guiding forces of my life have slowly but methodically been cast to the side and an entirely new set of conceptions and motives have begun to dominate my life. (Spiritual Awakening)
•Being forced to sell my business. Had I not been forced to sell, I wouldn’t have been able to dedicate so much time to my recovery.
•To have found a passion for life that comes from being truly useful to others.
•Knowledge (gained from experience) that I am capable of doing hard things.
•Barkley’s cuddling tolerance, which has increased with age.
•Barkley seems to appreciate routine as much as I do.
•Barkley noises: the ear flap, the paw shuffle, the quick snort, the paw wash, the water punch, the chomp/crunch, the tail slap, etc.
God, thank you for my life.
