Been in and out of treatment for 18 months and finally had enough. My drinking drove me to be hospitalized a little over a month ago. It was absolute agony. Today I am one month clean, down 15 pounds, clear headed and able to function. I am grateful for my husband and family for their constant support.

Keep it up! As a gay man myself, I appreciate you sharing your words. Continue to take it one step at a time and remember how you felt when you were in agony. I've been sober 3 years, and I will never forget the misery and agony I went through in early December 2019. I've never forgotten that time, and it helps to fuel me along with the support I receive to date to stay on this path.

Being hospitalized for those reasons blows... such terrible days/nights in there. Glad you're out & Congrats
