1 year clean

Today has been 1 year clean. No one around me really cares or knows. I didn't get the opportunity to go to a meeting today to get my gold coin but am going to tomorrow probably. In many ways a lot has changed this year but some of my old addict behaviors are still holding on strong, more specifically, isolating and thinking I can do it all alone. I actually really hate being alone but it's my comfort zone, so here I am.

Man I relate to the isolation. Getting outside your comfort zone can be uncomfortable. Congratulations on your one year.

You are not alone - I believe the grace of God works with us to keep us sober- I could not have done it alone - I love going to sleep, sober and waking up sober-
pleased for you on the one year - staying sober works for all of us the same way one day at a time. Enjoy this day.

Anthony, you’re not alone. I definitely love my solitude but getting out to do service balances me out. Before I go do service I seriously don’t want to go but I just go. And every time I’m glad I did.
Congrats on the 1st year, that’s huge!

This is SO AMAZING! And you are NOT alone! We are all here for you. I get what you mean though. Maybe when you pick up that coin, you release what you’ve been struggling with and voice it out loud at the meeting? Let those people who are just like you help!! I’m 100% certain they’ll love to. Do you have a sponsor?

I do as of a few days ago but we haven't really talked much yet. But it's good to say I have one now. I've been neglecting getting one for a year. Lol. Again with the stubborn mindset that I can do it alone. Thank you Kristen.

Happy 1 yr !!! That's a lot of days hours n seconds! Keep it up man
