Today was pretty rough emotionally. I don’t even feel like I have the energy to go into as much detail as I usually do. I noticed a lotttttttttt of posts from friends/family that included alcohol. Probably a sign that I need to continue to decrease the amount of time I spend on social media. Definitely just got me thinking about how much I miss drinking, & then I have to go through the usual spiel. My brain wants me to miss it & drink again. I force myself to recall the copious amounts of destruction to my health, finances, personal relationships, & self esteem. I’m feeling a little bit more solid as I wind down for the evening, & I made sure to stick to my routine, even though I was feeling off. Cooked dinner, did the dishes, took out the trash, did my work-out, made my routine list for tomorrow, and wrote my evening gratitude. Tomorrow is a new day, & everything about today wasn’t negative. I’m still VERY NEW in my recovery, & I need to be PATIENT & KIND to myself. One step, one moment, one day at a time.

On a slightly more positive note, I actually ASKED FOR HELP from a friend because I couldn’t figure out how to out my new tv stand together, & it looks so terrific. My apartment is really starting to look like a home. Trying to focus on the positives!

I deleted my social media and it’s helped me A LOT. It just wasn’t doing me any good. Stay strong. You did the right things and we’re human with this terrible disease. It’s about progress not perfection. You sound like someone who is progressing and learning, just like I am. Sending you peace and love. And yes, tomorrow is a brand new day

Be kind to yourself!! Thats very outstanding that you asked for help. Many let pride get in the way and not be vulnerable. You have courage.
Congratulations on 108 days baby steps
