I think back to 11 months ago and I was popping whatever pills I could get and was diving node first into opiates. Anyways, I hit rock bottom last and that anniversary will be my 1 year sober date so its very bitter sweet. 2024 was the first year since probably 2009 that I didn’t have a drop of alchol and I didn’t self harm once. Now I’m actually planning my future and am excited. This HAS NOT been easy. This process has been the messiest, most confusing, painful, draining thing of my entire life. But this has been this best thing I could have done. Things are clicking!

That's amazing. I know that it brings pain but I also know that the gifts of recovery far surpass the pain we must go through to get them. You're doing great and I'm so proud of you.
