110 days and doing well, other than an old self soothing habit. Scratching my skin raw. Not craving, not stressed. Trying hard to quell it with mybe 25% success. Constructive feedback welcome :slightly_smiling_face:

Anne, my addiction came out in different ways when I quit using drugs and alcohol. Going to in person AA/NA meetings, getting sponsored and doing the 12 steps helped me me manage much better and achieve the peace of mind I needed.

Sounds like body-focused repetitive behavior, and it tends to spike in recovery when the nervous system is recalibrating. I went through this for a long time. I couldn't figure it out and I couldn't understand why. Therapy helped. Some people find that keeping hands busy helps, fidget tools, textured rings, even just cold water on wrists, trapping, but a I'd suggest therapy if that's possible. Let's talk about 110 days, that's a huge milestone.

Thank you Danny. I am doing SMART recovery rather than 12 step. I am doing well other than this hiccup.
