I have not had any alcoholic beverages in 14 days. I have had flu like symptoms and now I feel like I have a cold. But I am still glad I have not picked up a drink.

Those may or may not be symptoms from toxins leaving your body. Listen to your body, practice self-care. You have a community of support here🙏

Two weeks is HUGE.?I went to AA 3 days a week for 5 mos. I drank when I got home. Then I saw others getting chips til all I could think of is the 30 day chip. The pressure built to weed here I could not drink a single beer more. I had my sites set on that 30 day chip. Finally, I did it. I told the group I was drinking after meetings. No one said anything. They just welcomed me no matter what. I have 31 months. Just keep it up. You are healing. And detoxing. There is nothing a drink won’t make worse. By my last beer, I felt worthless AF and fat. I’ve lost 14 pounds. Wishing you the best.

As for the flu/cold, my unsolicited advice, take Theraflu day and night with orange juice. That's what works best for me.

Keep hanging on...life's a beautiful place ....it's a beautiful journey in sobriety ...not everyday is beautiful...lol but as it unfolds it's so much better than today than it was when you were using...give it a chance...Im just a little over 90 days but what a difference even just a day makes...GOD BLESS!

I am also 14 AF as of today. I feel good. Downfall, headaches from too much caffeine now. I usually only drank 2 in the morning. Now I have like 4. Better then, alc, tho.
