17 days sober and still don't feel great. I don't know if it's sobriety or because I'm working for a temp agency. I been having issues finding a good job without having a car. I hope and pray it gets better.
It will it takes time, just because we get sober it does not make our lives automatically perfect. Just know you don't have to drink or use no matter what the issues are. Just lean on your higher power and your support system at times like this, I'm rooting for you!
Rita, Rome did not get built in a day, nor will everything immediately turn around. Plan your next meeting and not your next drink. If you have a phone list use it. Call at least different one person on the list a day. Why you ask. Because if you only rely on one person in early sobriety and that person is busy then you are already in the habit of reaching out. I am new to this forum but have been sobor since 2-1-92, So I have had to learn to live life on life's turns. We have a responsibility statement that when anyone reaches out we want the hand of AA to be thier. 17 day is a big deal, and you are even employable🎉 One day at a time, sometimes one minute but you can do this.
Being sober is part of a great life. Feeling great, having fulfillment, being genuinely happy, health, etc is 100% multifactorial. Yet NONE of those are attainable without sobriety... Keep strong
