•Barkley’s companionship. I couldn’t have asked for a better dog. He is my unproblematic king.
•The beautiful weather we’ve been having lately.
•Fresh haircuts from my favorite barber.
•My therapist, who is my biggest cheerleader. She really helps me to think of myself in ways I don’t presently seem capable of doing on my own.
•Yesterday I found my earring on the floor before I even knew I had lost it.
•My back is almost back to full strength. I’d say it’s at maybe 95% right now. Hopefully tomorrow I can start lifting again.
•Though I came to scoff, I remained to pray. I didn’t have to understand the steps for them to work. I still don’t have to understand them.
•Today, I believe the things that I say.
•I am learning more about my damaging tendencies, and the steps needed to temper them.
•I have a determination to nurture useful qualities and discard those that are not helpful.
God, thank you for my life.
