2 days sober. I lost my best friend to an overdose. He gave me rides to work because we both worked at the same place. I had to quit my job because I don't have a vehicle. I really can't believe this happened. Now, I got to focus on sobriety and finding a job and my mental health. Jesus please help me through this journey.

What area do you live? And are able to pay for gas?
Do you have access to public transportation or a taxi?
Well, I had to quit my job. Today, I'm going to apply for jobs if I got to take a taxi I can. Went to an A.A. meeting last night. I know that's the only way I will stay sober. Now, I got to focus on myself and make my life better. Still sober by the grace of God

Focusing on fixing a problem really helped me not think about drinking. I lost my job because of the sauce and stayed on the phone for 6 hours a day for a week calling unemployment, my insurance and rehabs and it made me feel accomplished rather than sulking and going to the bottle. Stay strong! It’s a tough road but you got support. Myself included!
