Cocaine booze and opiates are my drugs of choice
Wow, that’s amazing!! Truly inspiring.

I know the feeling. Nothing lasts forever, right?
Try to get to therapy
As soon as I get my insurance from my new job, I will. Going to try to do a virtual thing.
Yeah that’s the situation I’m in as well. I feel ya. Gotta do what’s best for yourself. I tried to help my husband but he just pulled me down with him. It’s hard but sometimes you just have to walk away
Sounds like you have a lot going on but so much more to look forward to. It's tough but you're getting there. Luckily I wasn't married so walking from my abusive ex was a little easier in that respect. Hoping you keep on the up and up. It takes time but it's worth it.
Kylee, I hear ya. I’m so sorry you are going through this. We are here with you.
Something that might be helpful to know is it takes around 10 days for alcohol to get out of your system. For me, the first 4 days were pretty weird and unstable. Mostly anxiety and weird sleep/bad dreams. Your brain is trying to rebalance and heal. You should start to feel better after those first few days then after 10. Not everyone is the same but for me, knowing that after 10 days that poison was out of my system helped me. Let me know if you want recommended reading! You’re doing great by being here and choosing not to drink. You deserve better, my friend!
Yesss, first 10 days I was SO anxious with horrible dreams (when I could sleep). 22 days sober and I’m not looking back. Any good reads you could recommend would be great! Thanks for your support
You bet!
My favorites so far have been “This Naked Mind” (was my motivation to quit! Great tools on how to ditch the booze.), “Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice To Not Drink In a Culture Obsessed With Alcohol”, “Recovery 2.0” and “The Unexpected Joy of Being Sober”.
Thank you!!!
You got this, Kylee. You deserve better
I could not sleep at all in the beginning… it will pass .. I think it took around 30 days but can’t remember.. 5 months now and sooo worth the roller coaster ride it took to get here … praying and these people helped me so much … prayers for you and your family!!!
