20 months sober and finally let your guard down to someone and inform them about your past.. just for them to basically disown you.
Luckily strong enough to know I won’t relive the past.. but that reality check was something I wasn’t prepared for
I am so sorry. People who have never been where we are really have no idea. You are a strong and worthy person. Don’t let ignorance slow you down. You are doing what is right and people need to accept you and the work you are doing to become well. Keep up the good work
