Im struggling too like everybody else on loosid. Im just human, not powerful at all. Im broke so it makes it easier to remain sober. Im grateful to be sober today. Just annoyed with family in my life, right now. I love them all thou. Pray for us

Majorie, the first few days were the hardest for me and now i’m over 3 yrs sober and lemme tell you sister, it’s worth every uncomfortable moment in the beginning. There is nothing that feels better than sobriety, after we feel broken by our addictions. I highly suggest AA. The fellowship is pretty amazing. We can’t do it alone and the loosid app is just a bonus to in-person support!

Or zoom aa meetings if your area is limited with in person meetings.

Powerlessness over alcohol is something tough to admit, but once we admit it to ourselves and another human being, the recovery journey can begin. I am happy for you starting this process.
Trust your instincts and stay true to yourself.

Marjorie……
Do you have the means to go to treatment? I encourage you to do so. There’s so much help out there and it changed my life. I went to a long term treatment center and plugged into AA immediately when I returned home.
I encourage you to seek out as many AA meetings as possible. I went everyday or more the first year.
I asked for help.
Found a sponsor early on, read the BB and thoroughly worked all 12 steps. WE can recover from this seemingly hopeless state of mind, body and spirit. However WE must do the work. Best wishes :peace_symbol:
