2nd week of sobriety and facing a cancer diagnosis (surgery only, no chemo yet). This time, I am choosing to let this stress strengthen my program instead of tear it, and my life, down. Tomorrow I'm headed to the Lonestar Regional NA Conference in Dallas, TX to make some amazing new sober friends. I hope I see some of you all there!

Your motivation to achieve a life of sobriety, despite the circumstances you’ve been faced with is very commendable. Staying sober becomes much easier with a positive attitude. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Are you feeling your inner strength? I think anyone In recovery are some of the strongest people alive. Not only are we taking responsibility for the problem, but have the strength to recover and Push forward. What kind of surgery do you need to have?

Our thoughts are so powerful, I have learned to be consciously aware the moment I may have a negative thought and change it around. Here’s wishing you many “change arounds”
