The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I’m grateful for good food and a fun event with a close friend last night. I saw others drink, and the thought never even crossed my mind.
•I’m grateful for this miraculous body and its ability to heal from injuries and recover from illnesses.
•I'm grateful that my dogs are so accustomed to their routine that they wake me up when I try to sleep in. At first, it almost bothered me, but then I realized it's a sign that they’re well-adjusted.
•I’m grateful that I miss the gym on my days off. It wasn’t an easy habit to form, but I’m glad I did.
•I’m grateful Audie took my place in the Shamrock 10k this morning. I was up way too late to be running that early.
•I have faith that God moves in ways that I can’t understand in the moment. Just because I don’t see him working doesn’t mean he isn’t. I’m grateful for the peace faith provides.
•I am grateful to have a life that allows me to live in peace and harmony with the rest of the world.
•I’m grateful to see the Ninth Step promises in my life. I’m grateful they were hung on the wall during my early days, like a carrot from a string.
•I’m grateful that life recreates itself. With every passing comes an opportunity for something new.
•I’m grateful for the love and acceptance I’m learning to show myself and others.
I pray that I may be grateful for the things I have received and do not deserve. I pray this attitude will make me truly humble.
