The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I’m grateful for another day above ground.
•I’m grateful to wake up full of energy and drive.
•I’m grateful that I’ve been doing fewer things that I need to apologize for. I feel like I’m finally settling into life.
•I’m grateful for my dog alarm clocks that lick me awake on the rare days I try to sleep in.
•I’m grateful for a program that finally convinced me to turn inward rather than searching for happiness in the external.
•I’m grateful for the quality of life sobriety has given me.
•I’m grateful that I can give and receive love with a full and thankful heart.
•Norman’s big boy barks, and big boy snores.
•I’m grateful for the opportunity to be human and make mistakes.
•I’m grateful to spend more of my days in the present than in the future or the past.
I pray that I may be grateful for the things I have received and do not deserve. I pray this attitude will make me truly humble.
