The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•I’m grateful for the opportunity to love and be loved. I’m grateful for all the people who love me and let me love them in return.
•I’m grateful for all the love and affection that Norman shows me daily.
•I'm grateful for the feeling that my sobriety has come full circle as I bring a sponsee to the first meeting I was invited to by my old sponsor.
•I’m grateful that I get to eat and chat with some old AA friends this morning.
•I’m grateful for new guys who trust me to guide them through their steps.
•I am grateful that I no longer feel inept or undeserving. I welcome life’s gifts and challenges with open arms.
•I’m grateful for the ability to make plans and not need to worry about how I’ll be feeling or if I’ll be able to show up.
•I understand that my serenity is inversely proportional to my expectations. I’m grateful that a happy life can be as simple as not having expectations.
•I’m reminded this morning that struggle and failure are all parts of growth. I’m grateful for spiritual readings that help keep me grounded.
•I have a disease that wants me dead but will settle for miserable. I know when I start to feel miserable that I have work to do. I’m grateful to have a solution.
I pray that I may be grateful for the things I have received and do not deserve. I pray this attitude will make me truly humble.
