•I’m grateful for a fantastic shoulder workout yesterday.
•I’m grateful that my health insurance will cover the cost of my hernia repair.
•I’m grateful my mom is here to help me after my surgery.
•I’m grateful that even though I didn’t make a meeting yesterday, I woke up this morning sober, happy, and free.
•I’m grateful for cozy, overcast days like today. It feels like the perfect surgery weather (if such a thing exists).
•I’m grateful to have a class schedule that allows me to miss when I need to without repercussions for my grades.
•I’m grateful that my biggest concern for my surgery is when I can exercise again, not what meds they will give me.
•I’m grateful that Barkley will be here and happy to chill and keep me company while I recover.
•I’m grateful for my morning readings which reminded me of the importance of self-love. Loving myself for all my different flavors and flaws is something I can only do through sobriety.
•I’m grateful that I can focus on the small victories of today rather than yesterday's disasters. This is a step toward self-love.
God, thank you for my life.
