The gratitude I feel today is a direct result of the work I did yesterday.
•Reading the book with a new guy never fails to improve my mood. I’m grateful for the trust these men put in me to guide them through the steps.
•I’m grateful for a boss that listens. I have the next several days off work to recharge rather than a day here and there.
•I'm grateful that my excitement for the days off work now centers on being productive, a significant shift from my past.
•I’m grateful I could show up and see Jacob pick up his five-year chip last night.
•I’m grateful for incremental progress. I’ve spent my life chasing sweeping and immediate change. Minor changes are both attainable and gratifying.
•Barkley is such a happy boy. I am grateful for every day I get to watch him bounce around with a big, goofy dog smile on his face.
•Norman is such a light in my life. I’m grateful for the opportunity to raise him while sober and remember every moment.
•I’m grateful that I don’t need to fear making mistakes, provided I remain willing to admit my faults and correct them promptly.
•Sore muscles remind me that pain leads to growth. I must always lean into the pain if I want to continue to grow.
•I’m so grateful that I have the life that I have and not the life that I deserve.
I pray that I may be grateful for the things I have received and do not deserve. I pray this attitude will make me truly humble.
