3 months ago I posted about my relapse and all

3 months ago I posted about my relapse and all the sh*t that came along with it. I never thought I’d be able to handle the stress or financial turmoil that resulted from it but yesterday I celebrated my 90 days of sobriety with nothing but happiness and peace with where I’m at. Today I choose to live life on life’s terms instead of continuously trying to control the outcomes of my day to day life. As a result, I was able to handle the wreckage my drinking had caused and do what needed to be done. As a result,my dui and charges were lessened to minimal and manageable consequences, The perfect job found me and offered me the benefits and work/life balance I have been forever searching for and have more than earned over my 12 years in the restaurant industry (and for fellow sober humans!) and I’ve been able to begin rebuilding my savings and my life in a more positive way than ever before. Best of all, I wake up each and every day happy and healthy mentally, physically and emotionally because I have been able to untangle myself from the chains of the past and focus my time and energy on the present and plans for the future. I cannot remember the last time I have felt so utterly CONTENT with my life but I’m forever grateful to stand here today stronger, wiser and with a sense of clarity that fills me with hope that I will be ok if I continue to live one day at a time, F other peoples’ side of the street and focus on my own and try to do the next right thing. I won’t say AA saved my life but I will say it never hurts to be a part of a group of people who know and understand the trials and tribulations that come along with this journey we are all on. Grateful for my sobriety, the amazing people who surround me,both in and out of AA(and this group!!), and for the beauty that has returned to my once dark af outlook on life. :purple_heart:

That's awesome! I often have to remember where I was and how far I have come in the last 9 months! Clarity is great and the fact that I can keep calm and stay in my lane, not letting negative thoughts into my head and out of my life! This is my recovery ther

Love this! So well said and it's a great reminder of the blessings sobriety brings. It was around 90 days for me too that I finally understood what it meant to feel content and live life on life's terms. Congrats on putting in the work and seeing so many positive outcomes!
