3 months down the drain….. this isn’t for the weary
Hey Taylor, it's never down the drain as long as you try again. It's not for the weary. You have to want it. Learn from it as to why you let it happen. Meetings help but I believe in getting educated on why you went to over drinking. Therapy helped me there. I also read alot. Try reading Alcohol Explained by William Porter it's easy to read and understand what alcohol does to keep you addicted. Gillian Tietz has a website and podcast Sober Powered she explains firsthand how Alcohol affects us. . I'm sober about 1yr I know you can do this. Reach out anytime
Charlie is right, it’s not down the drain. In the past, sure. Can’t change the past, but you can impact the future. We all fall down, the important part is getting back up.
It sure ain’t. It’s work. And you doing that work. Huge congratulations on this new you.
When you're on a road trip and you get a flat tire, you don't turn around and go home, you change the tire and go on.
I had 8 months then went on shall we say months of benders…. But I don’t consider those 8 months a loss. I look at it as that is where I need and WANT to be again. It’s a motivation for me. I’m on day 5 but determined to beat those 8 months a day at a time! Hang in there! You can do it!
It happens. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Pick yourself up, brush off the dirt and get down to the hard work again. We got you! You can do it.
Keep your head up! If it were easy everybody would be doin it. Worry less about starting over and more about what you learned from the fall.
