My bar was TJs food and spirits. There isnt a pool table or darts or dancing. Just water glasses full of booze. Nothing else. It was my place and i havent been back.
Well now Ive been invited to and must attend my nephews 40th bday at.....TJs of course.
I plan on a very very quick visit but that place scares me. Ive got 4 weeks to prepare. Wish me luck!!!

After 3 years of sobriety, do you really want a drink? It's good you have an exit strategy...who knows though. You may just go and not feel anything. If you do, get the heck out! Good luck.
I wish you well. My personal experience it's too tempting for me. I relapsed after 8 years of being sober from drinking. Because personally I became complacent it was too easy you feel me? I hope you have a good time with your friends and your nephew I understand
I have no desire to take a drink. Its just un tested waters and causing some anxiety. Not un manageable but its still there.

If they know you and past I'm sure they will understand your struggle and your reasons if you leave. Don't give in to the temptation,and set boundaries
That has gotten me every time, complacency! You'll do great, you realize your commitment to being more happier you you've got this! You can laugh at the non- sober people LOL
I'm glad that you know your limit. Show up, say HBD and keep your sobriety in check. As you prepare, we're here with you.
