30 days of sobriety.
And it’s not easy to be honest. I have so much cravings. Trying to stay strong and I hope this craving will become weaker.
It 100% fades,l. Sometimes it feels like it’s something you’ll have to always deal with, but it will get wayy better. Stay strong, you’re rewiring your brain and it takes time but you’ll feel the change very soon! :)) congratulations on 30 days, that’s a HUGE step!!!
Thanks Austin! It means a lot to me.
When I get cravings, in my head I play it out to the BITTER END! Meaning passed the initial beauty of instant relief, all the way to the ugly and painful hangover. To the shame, the nausea, the cringing, the, well you get the point. Hang in there and do some step work and service.
They will become weaker! Journaling and counseling has helped me.. by the way I am in the dfw area as well!
“This too shall pass” Congratulations on the 30, That’s huge!
Do 90 meetings in 90 days. Connect with the women in the meetings and get a sponsor.
Welcome. Please get to a meeting. There will always be cravings it’s how you learn to deal with them that matters. I have 3 years and still have to be careful where I go because I can’t stand being around a lot of alcohol but I have gained so much in sobriety that will be lost if I drink again. If you have a doctor, ask for craving medicine. That really helped me. Saved my life. Campral is really good. Good luck. Life is worth living. Easy no doable yes.
I am picky Matt.. I can’t just pick. First Lady. I would like to feel
Connected . Is that not right you think and I need to pick anybody ?
Oh wow, congrats you too!!
Nancy, thank you. I definitely need more meetings.
Stay strong you got this.
I wish everyone understood the power of neuroplasticity
Brains are powerful-the brain can be rewired-and things we do not want that are in our brains can be pushed far from the new superhighway - it doesn’t disappear but it can become the tiny dirt side road. Neuroplasticity offers hope especially to those of us who came to believe freedom was a lost cause for us.
It does get better, just stay strong and definitely stay focused and positive!🫶🙏
I understand, but I’ve heard your story. I don’t think you have the luxury of being picky. Your not signing a 20 year contract. It is someone to take you through the steps. So a temporary will work until you really connect. I suggest you do 90 meetings in 90 days. During those 90 days you will find a sponsor. I’m sure of it. 90 in 90. Make the commitment, if you drank like me your life depends on it.
You are never alone and we are always here to support each other!
You are right. Yes I need to do that. I won’t stay sober on my own for a long time, it has been proven a lot
You can do it one day at time . Attend Iop or our patient go to meetings you got this if you have cravings talk about it don’t let it bottle up
