30 days sober from Marijuana

AND roughly 3 weeks away from my 2 year alcohol sobriety mark (July 4th). Roughly 5 months ago I thought eating the occasional gummy wouldn’t be a big deal, however it lead me down a road wanting to be high more then I was sober. Always thought marijuana was harmless, I think for most it is, but I’m hardcore with any substance I use, and I began noticing my old habits of wanting to get high instead of hanging with friends & family. I’m glad that I caught it relatively early, I was foolish to think I could control any mind altering substance…the escape appeal is too strong. Here’s to one day at a time, the grind is real but it is soooo rewarding. Hope you all have a wonderful week! Keep up the good fight!

I truly appreciate this post because I feel very very similar. I always feel the temptation but I know what it turns into all too well. Hope you’re having a good day.

I never did much weed. Used some for sleep. I was wondering if I used it for sleep if it would make me want to drink again

I was a pot head in the 70’s.
Also, hash and angel dust.
Long story short ended up in locked psych ward. I gave up pot and continued to use the “legal” drug alcohol for about 5 years until that caused enough interference in my life.
Can’t recall the song but it goes if you keep your expectations low you’ll never be disappointed.

Wowzers! You are doing great.
